7 Ways to Flaunt your Hair this Monsoon

And we all agree to the above quote, don't we ladies. Our hair goes through a rough phase throughout the year and gets worse during the rainy season. So without further a do, here's are some quick methods to take care your locks this season.

1) Chose the right Comb
In combs, you generally have two options.  You have the wide tooth comb which is mainly used for de-tangling. It’s also good to use as a conditioning comb. You can use this while you have conditioner in the hair. Use this to evenly spread the conditioner.

2) Get the correct oil
There are lots of oils in the market that can help with your hair this monsoon. But one must remember if your hair is very weak and you do a rigorous oil massage you are damaging your hair more. Also, what happens with oil is when you oil your hair very often you tend to over shampoo to remove the oil. This does a lot of damaged to your hair. Hence put very little oil, massage it in with the tips of your fingers and use a gentle shampoo.

3) The Correct Shampoo
Basically you must keep your hair and scalp clean in the monsoon. Try and avoid getting your hair wet in the rains, as the pollutants in the rain may weaken the shaft bonds, making your hair dull and limp. So cover your hair before going out to protect them from humidity. Use a shampoo and conditioner that strengthens your hair from the root to the tip. I would recommend using Wella Professionals Age Ensure Resist strengthening shampoo for vulnerable hair. This creamy shampoo helps strengthen and protect the weakened surface layer of the hair, leaving it irresistibly smooth.

4) Frizzy hair ?
During monsoon, the humidity level is very high so your hair is bound to frizz. Also, your hair tends to get wet and generally we don’t tend to wash our hair every time it gets wet. Very often one will simply towel dry their hair which adds to the frizz. You should use a slightly stronger conditioner and definitely a serum to combat frizzy hair. Wella has a shampoo, serum and mask for dry and damaged hair which works great in the monsoon i.e Wella Professionals Enrich Moisturizing shampoo, conditioner and Treatment mask for dry, damaged or straightened hair. To reduce the frizz, try using your finger pads while washing your hair and do not be very rigorous in washing.

5) Hair Wash this season
There are few simple techniques one can keep in mind while washing:
- Make sure your hair is completely soaking wet before applying your shampoo.
- Try to use water which is at a medium temperature.
- Shampoo into the scalp of your hair using your fingertips and very gently circulate the shampoo into the scalp.
- Always rinse off the shampoo completely.
- When it comes to conditioning, don’t use too much conditioner and only condition the lengths and ends of hair.
- You can use a comb to spread the conditioner and end with a cold water rinse. This helps in lending a shine to your cuticles.

6) Diet to Follow
Diet plays a very important role in hair care as it helps in protecting the hair and also strengthening the hair follicles. One should include things like eggs which are high in iron and protein, walnuts which are high in vitamin E and omega-3 and fatty acids. Fish like salmon and mackerel are also high in protein and omega-3. Spinach is excellent as its high in iron and beta-carotene. Dahi is high in vitamin D and helps in strengthening the hair follicle.

7) Hair Tools
Avoid the hair procedures like hair straightening and hair curling. This type of procedures will make the hair draft weak. If you face the serious problems please consult the dermatologist or trichologist.

Have a Great Monsoon :D

Also, the monsoon season is a time when very often you feel down and depressed with the weather. To heighten your spirits, layer your fragrance, believe me, it makes all the difference. The wonders attached to the nose! In fact, it would be a great idea to also light aroma lamps in your home and office with lemongrass, lime, sandalwood and bergamot. These heighten the mood and help distress the mind.
